Harold D. Cossette

Harold D. Cossette, Audubon, 61, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. Harold was born on Sept. 20, 1948 to John and Mildred (Lorenzen) Cossette in Hawley, MN. They moved to Lake Park in 1959. Harold married Janet Brahmer on Sept. 24, 1966 in Detroit Lakes, MN at Lund Lutheran Church. They have lived in Hawley, MN, Kenosha, WI, and later made their home in rural Audubon. Harold worked for Ulven Gravel from 1970 to 1988 and had worked for Aggregate from 1989 to 2008, from which he retired from. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, NASCAR, football, his horse and cattle and most of all his grandchildren. Surviving Harold are his wife, Janet, sons, Paul (LaDonna) of Medora, ND and James (Leigh Ann) of Lake Park, MN; five grandchildren Brady, Mackenzie, Chelsea, Ethan and Garrett; two brothers, Jack (Cheryl), Audubon, MN and Roger (Betty), Antigo, WI; three sisters Shirley VanWey of Lake Park, MN; Ann (Gordy) Hughs of Cass Lake, MN and Elaine (Jim) Price of Ulen, MN; mother-in-law Elna Brahmer of Detroit Lakes, MN and several nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Robert & George, one sister, Darlene Baker and one nephew, David Baker.
