Wayne A. Tinjum age 75 of rural Frazee, MN died May 29, 2013 at Essentia Health - St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN. Wayne Arden Tinjum was born On December 3, 1937 in Ulen, MN to Otto and Anna Wolden Tinjum. The family moved to a farm in rural Frazee when Wayne was a young child. Wayne attended Country School near his home and later attended school in Frazee, graduating from Frazee High School in 1955. He then served in the United States Navy from 1956-1959 as a Radio Specialist. On November 17, 1962 he was united in marriage to Janice Lange at St. John's Lutheran Church - Height of Land. They lived and raised their family in rural Frazee, MN. Wayne very much enjoyed working on his hobby farm. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball, and playing cards with family and friends. He was an avid sports fan who especially liked to follow the MN Vikings and the Frazee Hornet Wrestling Team. He was also a very active member of St. John's Lutheran Church - Height of Land, serving as a Trustee. Wayne is survived by his wife, Janice; one daughter, Teresa Witte, of Erhard, MN; one son, Barry (Tracey) Tinjum, of Frazee, MN; eight grandchildren, Annie, Matthew, and Mark Seaberg; Amber, Christine, Andrew, and Bailey Tinjum; and Miranda Anderson; five great grandchildren, Sadie and Carter Johnson; Kayden and Calimae Kertscher; and Charlee Olds; one brother, Jens "Ray" (Dee) Tinjum, of Wasilla, AK; two sisters, Norma (Earl) Pederson, of Hawley, MN; and Ardis Grove, of Rochester, MN; and many nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Milton, Don, and Loren Tinjum; and one sister, Betty Baana.
