George William Kohn

George William Kohn, 78, Audubon, Minnesota, died September 15, 2014 at Sanford Health, Fargo, North Dakota. George was born on February 14, 1936 to George and Frieda (Hildebrand) Kohn in Columbus, Georgia. He graduated from New Cumberland High School in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. George was united in marriage to Jean Fox on July 18, 1959 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. George served in the United States Navy for twenty years. He worked for Clark Forklift Company for a number of years until 1980 and later worked various jobs until his retirement. He was active with the Audubon VFW Post #6033 as Quarter Master and the Becker County Tax Payers Association. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. George is survived by his wife: Jean Kohn of Audubon, MN; two daughters, Belinda Amon of Midland, TX; Bobbi (John) Mangiameli of Omaha, NE; son, Craig Kohn of Council Bluffs, IA; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, John (Bette Ann) Kohn of Alachua, FL; one sister, Susan (Paul) Peterson of Conway, AR; nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents.
