Ann Beckwith

Ann Beckwith age 93 of Detroit Lakes, MN died January 22, 2015 at the Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Ann Beckwith was born December 8, 1921 in Johnstown, PA to John and Mary (Dobay) Kvarta. As a young girl she moved with her family to Hammond, IN. On December 6, 1941 she was united in marriage to James Beckwith in Crown Point, IN. Over the years they made their home and raised their family in Indiana, California, and Minnesota. Ann also did a lot of babysitting, taking care of many children over the years. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, growing roses, and fishing. She is survived by three grandchildren, Jeff (Mary Ann) Beckwith, of Bemidji, MN; JoAnn (Wayne) Erickson, of Rochert, MN; and Sheri (John) Hart, of Missouri; six great grandchildren, Misty (Dan) Rux; Virginia (Shannon) Beckwith; Tanya (Caleb) Erickson; Kyle (Mary) Beckwith; Hunter Hart; and Soni Hart; four great great grandchildren, Emily and Jordan Kain; Garrett Beckwith; and AriAnna Erickson; daughter in law, Margaret Beckwith, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her husband, James (1/10/2000); two sons, Ronald "Jim" Beckwith, and David Beckwith; three sisters, Marie, Betty, and Dorothy; three brothers, George, Frank, and Andy; and her parents.
