Kenneth Owen Moe

Kenneth O. Moe age 83 of Detroit Lakes, MN died March 15, 2015 at Essentia Health - St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN. Kenneth Owen Moe was born September 9, 1931 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Elmer and Edna (Johnson) Moe. He grew up and attended country school in Lakeview Township. In his early years he worked for Swift's Turkey Plant in Detroit Lakes and Frazee. He also worked for the Ice Plant, and Jim Murphy's filling station in Detroit Lakes. On September 14, 1955 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Bleninger in Callaway, MN. They made their home in Detroit Lakes. Kenny owned and operated a lawn service for many years and also worked for the Becker County Sheriff's Department. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and playing cards. Time spent with family was very important to him. He is survived by his wife Liz; one daughter, Patricia (Larry) Pickrain, of Detroit Lakes, MN; three grandchildren, Wendy (Lance Roberson) Pickrain, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Christy Pickrain, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and Gregory (Megan) Pickrain, of Detroit Lakes, MN; two nieces; two nephews; and sister in law, Mary Anne (Duwayne) Stebbins, of Silver Bay, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Andy and Art Moe.
