Henry "Hank" Clayton Bonde III

Henry C. Bonde age 68 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Sunday April 19, 2015 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND. Henry Clayton Bonde was born on November 1, 1946 in Fargo, ND to Henry and Virginia (Otteson) Bonde. He lived in Fargo and later in Detroit Lakes where he graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 1964. Hank excelled at sports. He was one of the best golfers from the Detroit Lakes area. He also played baseball and hockey. He attended Bemidji State University and later North Dakota State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He married Jackie Ekren and they raised their family in Detroit Lakes. Hank invented and patented a line of industrial parts, and started his own company HCB Inc. His company has manufactured industrial parts in Detroit Lakes for many years. Hank was extremely proud to own and operate HCB Inc. with Bonnie Reynolds, Shawn Mosco and other employees. Hank was a fun, charismatic, unique individual. People enjoyed visiting with him and his dog, Buddy at his house on Detroit Lake. Many fond memories were made on his deck overlooking the lake. Hank is survived by one daughter, Jessica (Andy Baehler) Bonde, of Colorado Springs, CO; one son, Robert Bonde, of Detroit Lakes, MN; three brothers, William Bonde, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Michael (Dee) Bonde, of Fargo, ND; and Timothy Bonde, of Detroit Lakes, MN; granddaughter, Sophie Lynn Schramm, of Detroit Lakes, MN; nephew, Ryan Bonde, of Fargo, ND; numerous friends; and his beloved dog Buddy. Hank was preceded in death by one son, Henry C. Bonde IV; one brother, John Bonde; and his parents.
