Loretta Elizabeth Frank

Loretta E. Frank age 92 of Detroit Lakes, MN died August 4, 2015 at Essentia Health - Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes, MN. Loretta Elizabeth Frank was born January 2, 1923 in Two Inlets, MN to Henry and Catherine Eichens Herlitz. She grew up and attended country school near her home. She later attended school in Park Rapids, MN, graduating from Park Rapids High School. She then completed teachers training at Mount St. Benedict in Crookston, MN. She taught school in rural Frazee, MN for a few years. On October 16, 1942 she was united in marriage to Alvin Frank in rural Frazee, MN. They made their home in the Evergreen area of rural Frazee. In 1954 they moved to Detroit Lakes. Loretta worked at the Oak Manor Motel and later worked for Savoie Laundry for many years until her retirement. Loretta and Alvin enjoyed snowmobiling together. They also enjoyed traveling in their retirement. She is survived by one daughter, Carol (Melvin) Schultz, of Vergas, MN; four sons, Kenneth (Jane) Frank, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Larry (Mary) Frank, of Lake Park, MN; Bruce (Ella Mae) Frank, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and Dale (Connie) Frank, of Detroit Lakes, MN; fifteen grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin (1989); and her parents.
