Richard Dean Englund

Richard D. Englund age 71 of Detroit Lakes, MN died October 1, 2015 at Sanford Health Palliative Care in Fargo, North Dakota. Richard Dean Englund was born November 23, 1943 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Roy and Blanche Solum Englund. He grew up and received his education in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1963. He lived in Detroit Lakes his entire life and worked in various jobs in the area. He retired from Snappy's in Detroit Lakes after 30 years. Following his retirement he worked for the Fargo Forum delivering newspapers. Richard enjoyed old cars, professional wrestling, movies, and his dogs. He was also a big fan of the New York Yankees, and Elvis Presley. He was a quiet, caring man who enjoyed time spent with his family. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; three sons, David Englund, of Fargo, ND; Chad (Nikki) Englund, of Moorhead, MN; and Brian (Lisa) Englund, of Chaska, MN; seven grandchildren, Maggie, Carter, Caden, Connor, Kylie, Cam, and Sawyer; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Raymond Englund.
