Emelia Bertram age 98 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Saturday October 24, 2015 at Essentia Health - Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes, MN. Emelia Bertram was born September 24, 1917 in Pelican Rapids, MN to Oscar and Emma Paulson. She grew up and attended country school near Vergas, MN. On February 6, 1938 she was united in marriage to Ivan Hanson. They made their home and raised their family in the Detroit Lakes, and Perham areas. Over the years she worked at the Kath Farm Store, the Edgewater Hotel, and Dynamic Homes in Detroit Lakes. On February 15, 1976 she was united in marriage to Harry Bertram. They made their home in Detroit Lakes. Emelia enjoyed dancing, and fishing. She is survived by her son, Gordon Hanson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; five grandchildren, Rory (Martha) Hanson, of Charleston, SC; Dawn Jordan, of Edgewood, NM; Debra Hanson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Sheila Hanson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and Shelly (Jeff) Hoffer, of Hampton, IA; eighteen great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Ivan Hanson (1975); 2nd husband, Harry Bertram; one son, Walter Hanson; two grandsons, Gordy Lynn Hanson, and Darren Hanson; one great grandson, Casey Patton; one brother and four sisters.
