Leslie Wayne Kohler

Leslie W. Kohler age 82 of Audubon, MN died Sunday November 8, 2015 at Essentia Health - St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN. Leslie Wayne Kohler was born June 24, 1933 in Hamden Township, rural Audubon, MN to James and Nora (Friese) Kohler. He grew up on the family farm and attended District #44 Country School. He farmed the family farm from 1954 - 1993. He then worked for Anderson Gravel of Detroit Lakes from 1993 until his retirement in 2006. Les enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, playing cards, cooking, gardening, and canning. He was well known for the Sauerkraut, and Horse Radish that he made. Another thing he enjoyed was riding his ATV. He is survived by two brothers, Gene (Darlene) Kohler, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and Lloyd (Pearl) Kohler, of Audubon, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Royal, Archie, Lyle, Ronnie, and Norman; and two sisters, Helen Hendrickson and Darlene Johnson.
