Willis Johnny Hage

Willis J. Hage 86 of Detroit Lakes died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Essentia Health, Fargo, North Dakota. Willis was born on July 22, 1929, the son of Walter and Jonette (Fauglid) Hage in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. He was raised and educated in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1948. Willis served in the United States Air Force and after receiving an honorable discharge, he made his home in Arizona. He was married to Mary Louise Whittaker in 1954 in Wikenburg, Arizona. Mary Louise passed away in 1963. Willis worked as a self-employed mechanic while he lived in Arizona. Willis later married Greta Radford in September of 1967 in Buckeye, Arizona. They moved to Detroit Lakes in 1972 and Willis worked for Dynamic Homes from 1974, until his retirement in 1992. Willis enjoyed woodworking and reading. Willis is survived by his wife, Greta Hage of Detroit Lakes, MN; two sons, Steve Hage of Detroit Lakes, MN; Dave Hage of Gary, MN; step son, Paul Scow of England; numerous nieces and nephews. Willis was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Mary Louise, sisters, Dianne Maitland and Geneva Danielson.
