Sonia Kari Fleisher

Sonia K. Fleisher, 42 of Frazee, Minnesota, died Friday, January 15, 2016 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Sonia was born on December 10, 1973, the daughter of Joe and Karen (Stromstad) Glenz in Lubbock, Texas. She was raised in rural Detroit Lakes and graduated from Frazee High School in1992. Sonia then attended Fergus Falls Community college for two years. She continued her education at Wadena Technical College receiving a degree in Plumbing Technology. Sonia was united in marriage to Michael Fleisher on August 31, 1996 at United Methodist Church in Detroit Lakes. They made their home in rural Frazee. Sonia worked with her father at Glenz Plumbing as a Plumber Apprentice until 2002. She also operated a daycare from 2003-2009 and worked at Pizza Hut where she started her career over nineteen years ago. She worked at Pizza Hut part time while working at her other jobs until becoming full time where she was an assistant manager. Sonia was extremely dedicated to her family and made sure to attended her children’s school and sport activities. She enjoyed photography, scrapbooking, her flower gardens and fishing. She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched. Sonia is survived by her husband, Michael Fleisher ; daughter, Ana Fleisher; sons, Cole and Broden Fleisher all of Frazee, MN; parents, Joe and Karen Glenz of Detroit Lakes, MN; sister, Theresa Hamre of Dilworth, MN; grandmother, Brit Stromstad of Detroit Lakes, MN; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Sonia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Anton Stromstad, Donald and Ethel Glenz. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
