She attended Moorhead State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in education. She went on to teach in Elementary Schools for thirty five years. Anyone who knew her would have heard her say “Children are truly the most delightful people in the world!” “Teaching young children brings the most happiness and reward one could hope for in a profession.” Eloise married Julian Omberg in Reno, Nevada on June 6, 1953, where he was serving in the United States Air Force. They liked to travel and spent some winter months in Florida, but her favorite place was their home and woods near Floyd Lake where they lived for over forty five years. Eloise always felt fortunate that most of her family lived close by. Her children and their families were a priority to her, and time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren was precious.
