Ruth Ann Aho

Ruth Ann Aho age 69 of Osage, MN died May 30, 2016 at her residence. Ruth Ann Aho was born June 29, 1946 in Arthur, ND to Edward and Irmgard Schroeder Boettcher. She attended school in Arthur thru the eighth grade. Her family then moved to Detroit Lakes, MN where she graduated from High School in 1964. She then attended the Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND. She moved to Mpls, MN and worked for the First Computer Corp. in St. Paul, MN. On June 26, 1970 she was united in marriage to James Aho in Detroit Lakes, MN. They made their home in the Snellman, MN area. Ruth Ann worked as a secretary for the Farmer’s Insurance Group in Detroit Lakes, MN for thirty four years, retiring in 2010. Ruth Ann enjoyed cooking, traveling, and reading. She was very active at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Ladies Guild, Bible Study, and was also currently serving as the Financial Secretary. She is survived by her husband, Jim; two brothers, Willis (Abi) Boettcher, of Phoenix, AZ; and Edward Boettcher, of Fargo, ND; five sisters in law, Darlene (Roland) Pihlaja, of Osage, MN; June (John) Racer, of Osage, MN; Carole (Brian) Biro, of Ashville, NC; Susan (Robert) Gjersvig, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and Nancy (Brian) McNulty, of Stillwater, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her father and mother in law, William and Elvie Aho.
