Doris Mary Freda Bulau

Doris Mary Freda Bulau, 98 of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota died Friday, June 03, 2016 at Ecumen-Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Doris was born on May 6, 1918 to Henry and Alma (Stuber) Miller in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. She was raised and educated in Buffalo Lake where Doris attended country school. Doris was united in marriage to Carl Bulau on December 3, 1939 in Stewart, Minnesota. They moved to Detroit Lakes in 1961, where Doris was a stay at home mom and was able to raise their daughter. Doris enjoyed sewing, gardening and her flower beds. She was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church. Doris is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Bulau of Detroit Lakes, MN; sister, Marilyn Olshanski of Sherman Oaks, CA; nieces, nephews and cousins. Doris was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Carl.
