Dora E. Schultz, age 91 of Detroit Lakes, MN died September 14, 2016 at Ecumen – Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Dora Evelyn Schultz was born October 20, 1924 to Walter and Leah (Goldsmith) King in Norwich, Norfolk, England. She met and married Ed Schultz, who was stationed in Norwich, England during WWII. She came to the United States and lived in West Fargo, ND for a short while. They then moved to Anthony, MN and Felton, MN where they owned and operated a small grocery store. She became a citizen of the United States in 1952. In 1954 they bought a farm near Cotton Lake in Rochert, MN and remained there until retiring from farming in 1983, and moving into Detroit Lakes. Dora was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Height of Land since 1954. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, coffee, and visiting with friends. Dangly earrings were her trademark! She is survived by a son, Richard (Sandra) Schultz, of Frazee, MN; two daughters, Susan (Duane) Wirth, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and Sally Tessier, of Rochert, MN; son in law, Bob Bernier, of White Bear Lake, MN; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed; daughter, Sarah Bernier; and son in law, Greg Tessier.
