Michael C. Selck age 50 of Detroit Lakes, MN died September 18, 2016 at Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN. Michael Chris Selck was born June 10, 1966 in Detroit Lakes, MN to William and Sonja (Disney) Selck. He grew up and received his education in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1984. Following his graduation from High School he moved to Colorado, where he worked in the Maintenance Department at a grocery store for two years. He moved back to Detroit Lakes in 1986 and started a lifelong career with Audubon Engineering/TEAM Industries. On September 14, 1990 he was united in marriage to Tracy Witt in Watertown, SD. They made their home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Michael loved working on and restoring old cars. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and time spent with family and friends. He was a very loyal, kind, sincere person, who was always willing to help others. He is survived by his wife, Tracy; one daughter, Samantha Selck, of Detroit Lakes, MN; mother, Sonja Selck, of Detroit Lakes, MN; several nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by a son; Nicholas Selck; brother, Randy Selck; and father, William Selck.
