Margaret A. “Maggie” Johnson age 62 of Detroit Lakes, MN died December 7, 2016 at her residence. Margaret Ann Johnson was born May 4, 1954 in Fargo, ND to Lauren and Della (Askegaard) Peterson. She grew up on a farm near Sabin, MN and attended school in Glyndon, MN. She graduated from Glyndon High School in 1972. She then attended the Moorhead Vocational and Technical College. On Oct. 12, 1974 she was united in marriage to Michael Johnson in Baker, MN. They made their home in West Fargo, ND. Maggie worked as a Paralegal and later in Medical Billing. They moved to Detroit Lakes in 2007, where she worked for Mahube-Otwa. Maggie loved living at the lakes, boating, and being with her family. She also enjoyed her dogs, and attending sporting events, and concerts with her boys. She is survived by her Husband, Michael “Mick” Johnson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; two sons, Brandon (Robyn) Johnson, of Fargo, ND; and Caleb (Morgan) Johnson, of Moorhead, MN; Father, Lauren Peterson, of Moorhead, MN; one brother, Collin Peterson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; five sisters, Carol (Hugo) Moeckel, of Moorhead, MN; Connie Budke, of Moorhead, MN; Mary Peterson, of Moorhead, MN; Trish (Kurt) Fischer, of Glyndon, MN; and Karen (Hal) Dickelman, of Moorhead, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Della Peterson; and her sister Muriel Larson. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday December 14, 2016; 11:00 a.m. at the Baker Downer Westminster Presbyterian Church, Baker, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Arrangements have been entrusted to the West-Kjos Funeral of Detroit Lakes.
