Lillian E. Lage age 82 of Audubon, MN died December 11, 2016 at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo, ND. Lillian Elaine Lage was born April 10, 1934 in Paullina, IA to Walter and Clara (Hoppe) Ebel. She grew up and received her education there, graduating from Paullina High School. On April 4, 1954 she was united in marriage to Grant Lage in Germantown, IA. They made their home in Spencer, IA before moving to rural Audubon, MN in 1957. They purchased a Dairy Farm in 1963 and farmed until their retirement in 1997. Lillian enjoyed watching and feeding birds, quilting, dancing and playing cards. She was an excellent cook and baker, and was known for her donuts. She loved time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Lisa (Steve) Hanson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; two sons, Mike (Linda) Lage, of Audubon, MN; and Pat (Holly) Lage, of Pelican Rapids, MN; ten grandchildren, Shari Lage, Leah (Jordan) Johnson, Brett Lage, Stephanie Lage, Sam Lage, Ashley (Andy Westby) Stadum, Breanna (Alec) Simpson, Dan (Sarah) Hanson, Angela (Alex) Hay, and Jena (Jed) LaPlante; six great grandchildren, Raysa, Alayna, Sawyer, Dawson, Hazel, and Grantley; four sisters in law, Margaret Ebel, Jan Ebel, Shirley Ebel, and Mary Ann Stanhope; one brother in law, Delmar Sickelka; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grant (2012); three brothers, Roy, Harry, and Don Ebel; four sisters, Bernice Stamer, Velma Dau, Helen Holck, and Clara Sickelka; and son in law, Michael Halbur. Funeral Services will be on Monday December 19, 2016; 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Audubon, MN. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, MN, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes, MN.
