Bruce L Vidden

Bruce was born on August 17, 1958 in Grand Forks, ND, the eldest of 4 children to Milton and Beverly (Schroeder) Vidden. After graduating from East Grand Forks High School in 1977, Bruce was a cook/chef at the John Barleycorn Restaurant in Grand Forks, ND until 1997. From 1997 to 2001 he worked at The Speedway Restaurant and UND Wilkerson Dining Hall Grand Forks, ND. Bruce also lived in Crookston, MN, for several years. Bruce has been a resident of Detroit Lakes, MN since 2008, where he worked at Menards and Forum Communications. Bruce enjoyed being in the outdoors, fishing and camping, as well as traveling. He was very much a people person. He enjoyed spending time with his immediate family, extended family, and friends. His many friends became like family to him as well. The pride and joy of his life was is his four sons and five grandchildren. Bruce would mention them in every conversation and he enjoyed sharing pictures and updates. Bruce is survived by his sons: Shawn (Angela)Vidden North Mankato, MN, Chad(Nicole) Vidden Coon Valley, WI, Eric Vidden, St Paul, MN and Evan Vidden, St. Paul, MN, his brothers: Bryan(Anna) Vidden Fargo, ND, Burt Vidden East Grand Forks, MN, and Brad Vidden East Grand Forks, MN, his grandchildren: Alexis, Kinsey, Quinn, Dylan and Jacoby Vidden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Beverly and his son Christopher Vidden. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday December 21, 2016; 4:00 p.m. at the West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
