Marilyn A. Bachmann

Bachmann, Marilyn A. age 76 of Detroit Lakes, MN died February 5, 2017 at Ecumen-Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Marilyn Ann Bachmann was born November 4, 1940 in Perham, MN to Edward and Martha (Goyke) Alexander. She grew up and attended school in Perham. She lived and raised her children in Marysville, WA, and Perham and Detroit Lakes, MN. She formerly worked at the Gamble’s Store in Frazee, MN and the Best Western Hotel in Detroit Lakes. She was always known as an excellent baker. She also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and going for drives in the country. Marilyn is survived by one daughter, Patty (Jeff) Doefler, of Hamilton, MT; four sons, Charles (Ellie) Bachmann, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Jason Bachmann, of Wyoming; Clint (Deanna) Bachmann, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and Matthew Bachmann, of Detroit Lakes, MN; sixteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one sister, Rita (Jon) Tykwinski, of Little Falls, MN; five brothers, Edward Alexander, of Rapid City, SD; Lloyd Alexander, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Mark Alexander, of Hawaii; Paul Alexander, of Rapid City, SD; and Roger Alexander, of Rapid City SD; and several nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by one son, David Bachmann; one brother, Bill Goyke; and her parents. Funeral Services will be on Saturday February 11, 2017; 2:00 p.m. at the Berean Baptist Church in Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, MN and one hour prior to services at the Church.
