Annette J. Zick

November 8, 1941 — October 19, 2020

Annette Jane (Lien) Zick, age 78 of Osage, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at her home, after a long-fought battle with cancer.

Annette was born in Fargo, ND to Myron “Dick” and Adeline (Anderson) Lien on November 9, 1941.

She attended Emerson-Smith Elementary, Agassi Junior High and Fargo Central. Annette married George Zick on February 27, 1960 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Shell Lake. They spent most of their married life living at Big Toad Lake.

Annette was a gifted knitter, sewer and crochetier. She could figure out the most complicated patterns. You were blessed if you received one of her creations.

She was a devoted wife and mother and found great joy in her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was never without her dogs, cats and often, parakeets. She was foremost a caregiver and always put family before herself.

Annette will be sadly missed by her husband, George; son, Gene (Connie) Zick of Rochert, MN; grandchildren, Dakota (Annya) of Detroit Lakes, Cheyanne of St. Paul, MN, Cole of Florida, and Hunter, of Osage, MN; great grandchildren, Carter and Dean; daughter-in-law, Heidi Zick of Osage; brothers, Don (Arlene) Lien of Fargo, Richard (Barbara) Lien of Moorhead, John (Joann) Lien of Rochert; brothers-in-law, James (Claire) Zick of Detroit Lakes, David (Ann) Zick of Osage; sister-in-law, Darlene (Ced) Steinkraus of Staples, MN; many nieces and nephews; and godson, David Lien. She is preceded in death by sons, Dennis and John; and her parents, Myron and Adeline.

A Memorial Service will take place at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Shell Lake. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00pm-6:00pm at West-Kjos Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 5:30pm. And also one hour prior to services on Saturday.
