Barbara D. (Green) Koshowski

Barbara (Green) Koshowski age 89 of Detroit Lakes, MN died November 14, 2022, at Bethany on University in Fargo, ND.

Barbara Diane Koshowski was born September 12, 1933, in Detroit Lakes, MN to Howard and Rena (McDougal) Conley. She grew up and attended school in Moorhead, MN. The family later moved to Detroit Lakes where Barb attended High School. In 1950 Barb was united in marriage to Jerome Green in South Dakota. They made their home in Detroit Lakes, MN where they owned and operated Green’s Plumbing. Barb worked as the office manager for many years. In 1998 Barb married Peter Koshowski in Winnipeg, Canada. They lived summers in Detroit Lakes and traveled the Southern United States in the winter months.

Barb was very involved with her kids and their activities while they were growing up. She was very active in Boy Scouts and Campfire Girls, serving as Den Mother. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Detroit Lakes, serving on the Church Board, Circle, and Sunday School Teacher. She was always very proud to be one of the first woman Trapshooters at the Becker County Sportsman’s Club. Family was very important to her, and she loved time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Jeri Vanden Eykel, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Marsha (Blaine) Larson, of Brainerd, MN; and Beth (Scott) Parr, of Yankton, SD; four sons, Mark (Mary) Green, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Bradley (Janet) Green, of Detroit Lakes, MN; Scott (Char) Green, of Alexandria, MN; and Timothy (Terri) Green, of Detroit Lakes, MN; fourteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her 1^st husband, Jerome Green; 2^nd husband, Peter Koshowski; three brothers, Howard Conley, Val Conley, and Wayne Conley; and her parents.

Memorial Services will be on Wednesday November 23, 2022; 2:00 p.m. at the West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
