Betty McDougall age 85 of Callaway, MN died April 10, 2022 in her residence.

Betty Selma McDougall was born November 21, 1936 in Malott, Washington to George and Dorothy (Pearson) Carlson. On April 3, 1955 she was united in marriage to Curtis McDougall at the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Callaway, MN. They had seven children.

Betty worked at Swift’s for 23 years. After the plant closed, she worked at Maplelag, and also babysat for many families.

She is survived by three daughters, Susan (Roger) Johnson, Janice (Jerry) Chilton, and Rose Garcia; four sons, Daniel (Cindy) McDougall, Steven (Karlena) McDougall, Peter (Karen) McDougall, and Randy McDougall; and sixty grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Beverly Moyer; grandson, Billy McDougall; numerous nieces and nephews; and her parents.

Funeral Services will be on Monday April 18, 2022; 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in Strawberry Lake Mennonite Church Cemetery, rural Ogema, MN. Arrangements have been entrusted to the West-Kjos Funeral Home of Detroit Lakes, MN.
