Betty Davis Welch

February 20, 1917 — June 29, 2021

Betty Welch, 104, died on June 29, 2021 at Oak Crossing care facility in Detroit Lakes, Mn.  She had been a resident there for 5 years.  She was born on February20, 1917 in Greenville, PA to Harry Elmer Davis and Belva (Dumars) Davis.  She graduated from Penn High School and then Temple University in Philadelphia.  She then returned to Greenville to be close to her family.

Betty had three children: Georgina, John, and Roberta.  She loved her family and enjoyed golfing, bowling, was an amazing bridge player and a friend to many.  She had various jobs during her lifetime, secretary to the Dean at Temple Dental School, bookkeeper for Anderson Bus, an Avon Lady, a real estate agent, homemaker, and an amazing mother.  Betty spent much of her life in Greenville, but also enjoyed living in Florida and Minnesota. 

Betty is survived by her brother, Robert Davis of Aurora, OH; daughters Roberta (David) Smith of Detroit Lakes, MN; Georgina Kassebaum of Alachua, FL; and son John Welch of Daytona Beach, FL.  Grandchildren Gregory (Gabriella) Smith of Washington DC; Charlie (Natasha) Smith of Seattle, WA; Debbie (James) White of Tampa, FL; Bryan (Brandi) Peck of Jacksonville, FL.  Great-grandchildren Nichole (Robbie) Christy of Riverview, FL; Douglas Chambers of Wesley Chapel, FL; Savannah Peck of Annapolis, MD; Braunson Wettlaufer of Albany, GA.  Great-Great grandchildren Adrian, Cameron, Aubrey, and Logan.  Nieces Pamela (Chris) Garrett of Aurora, OH; Cindy Wolski of South Euclid, OH; Roberta (Mike) Carson of Chesterland, OH; seven great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death y her parents, her husband David Welch, sister in-law Barbara Davis, and son in-law Larry Kassebaum.

Betty will be sadly missed by all who knew her.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later day.
