Brian Bergeron

Brian Kent Bergeron was born May 26, 1957 in Minneapolis, MN to John and Charlotte (Ackling) Bergeron. The family moved to Detroit Lakes when Brian was a young boy. He grew up and attended school in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School. Following high school he worked various jobs in the area, including driving truck for Peavey Lumber. In 1977 he was badly injured in a car accident, and in 1979 became a resident at Lakes Homes in Detroit Lakes. He worked at the DAC in Detroit Lakes for many years. Brian enjoyed being with his family, music, and attending community events. He will be remembered for having a great sense of humor. He is survived by his mother, Charlotte; one brother, Bruce (Karen) Bergeron, of Waubun, MN; one sister, Cheryl (Keith) Kicker, of Vergas, MN; two nephews, John Bergeron and Jack Bergeron; one niece, Sara Bergeron; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, John R. Bergeron. Funeral Services will be on Saturday December 29, 2018; 2:00 p.m. at the West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes, MN.
