Charlotte Marie Rodewald

Charlotte Marie (Baumhofer) Rodewald, 80 of Detroit Lakes, MN died at home surrounded by her loved ones on September 22, 2021

Charlotte was born August 16, 1941 in Moorhead, MN to Clyde F. and Bertha (Milbrandt) Baumhofer.  She grew up in Ulen, MN where she graduated from high school and went on to attend the Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND.  On July 23^rd, 1960 she married Wallace Rodewald of Callaway, MN at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ulen, MN.  Wallace and Charlotte made their home in Detroit Lakes, MN where they raised their 5 children.  Charlotte worked as a nurse’s aide for Emmanuel Nursing Home for 30 years.  Charlotte’s favorite past times were polka dancing, crocheting, baking, sewing, crossword puzzles, wagon trains, camping, bowling and spending as much time with family as she could.

Survivors include her husband, Wallace Rodewald of Detroit Lakes, MN; son, Mark (Wendy) Rodewald of Detroit Lakes, MN; son, Dean (Bonnie) Rodewald of Callaway, MN; daughter, LeAnn (Robert) Vetter of Callaway, MN; daughter, Sandra (Jarrod) Green of Wyarno, WY and 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; Clyde and Bertha Baumhofer; brother, Wayne Baumhofer; daughter, Deborah Varno and granddaughter, Nicole Rodewald.
