Corrine Frank

April 3, 1951 — July 14, 2020

Corrine R. Frank age 69 of Detroit Lakes, MN died July 14, 2020 at the Sunnyside Care Center in Lake Park, MN.

Corrine Ruth Frank was born April 3, 1951 in St. Paul, MN to William Carlton and Ruth (Ramberg) Froelich. She grew up and received her education in St. Paul Park, MN, graduating from Park of Cottage Grove High School in 1969. She then attended Augsburg College in Minneapolis, where she earned a B.A. Degree in Elementary Education. She moved to Bennettsville, SC and taught remedial math at the Cheraw, SC Middle School for one school year. She then moved back to St. Paul Park and worked for the State of MN Dept. of Finance. On August 12, 1978 she was united in marriage to Thomas A. Frank at the St. Paul Park Church of God. They made their home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Corrine worked in the office of the Swift Turkey Plant in Detroit Lakes and also as a substitute teacher in the Detroit Lakes Elementary and Middle Schools. When their first child was born Corrine chose to devote herself to being a full time mother and homemaker, which she did until 2003 when son Will entered the Marine Corps.

Corrine was very active in the community and Zion Lutheran Church, where amongst other things she was past president of the LWML. She was also past president of the John Bridges American Legion Unit #15 Auxiliary and longtime volunteer at Ecumen – Emmanuel Nursing Home, where she played the piano. She especially enjoyed traveling with her family, usually at Easter time. They have driven to forty-nine states and flew to Hawaii Easter of 2002. All year long she enjoyed walking. When the children were young, she pulled them in the red wagon to the grocery store, playground, and the beach.  Being pro-life was very important to her.
