Darren Forsberg

Darren Lee Forsberg, 49, passed away on October 16, 2019 at Sanford Medical Center. Fargo, North Dakota.  He was born August 21, 1970 at St Mary’s Hospital, Detroit Lakes, MN, the son of Marlan Lee and Linda Marlane (Johnson) Forsberg.  Darren was baptized at Lake Park Lutheran Church. Darren graduated from Lake Park High School.  Darren began working as a carpenter at a young age. He also laid carpet with his father for many years. He worked as an independent contractor and carpet layer for both home and commercial buildings. Darren took joy in being outside because he loved nature, that’s where he felt the most at peace.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and putting his amazing skills to work to craft various things out of the wood. His latest projects were carving and making long bows. Darren is survived by two daughters, Angela Forsberg and Faith Forsberg; granddaughter, Elliot Forsberg; mother, Linda Forsberg, of Lake Park, MN; one sister, Andrea Olson, of Lake Park, MN; one brother, Ryan Forsberg, of Lake Park, MN; Step Son, Tim Ballard, and several other extended family and friends. Darren was preceded in death by one daughter, Willow Forsberg; one brother, Shawn Forsberg; father Marlan Forsberg; and grandparents Lloyd and Esther Forsberg and Ernie and Elleanor Johnson.
