David Edwin Malvick

June 28, 1944 — September 29, 2021

David E. Malvick age 77 of Audubon, MN died September 29, 2021 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

David Edwin Malvick was born on June 28, 1944 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Edwin and Ethel (Halvorson) Malvick. He grew up on the family farm near Audubon, MN and graduated from Audubon High School. He worked various construction jobs over the years. On July 3, 1967 he was united in marriage to Linda Huseby in Sisseton, SD. They made their home and raised their children in Audubon. He later had a twenty-year career at Snappy’s in Detroit Lakes, MN.

David’s faith and family were very important to him. He was known as a guy who could fix about anything. He always had the “right part” needed to complete the job. He loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed cutting wood, which he did with the church wood cutting group, helping provide wood for those in need.

He is survived by wife, Linda; three daughters, Tammy (Greg) Anglin, of Lake Park, MN; Kimberly (Matthew) Fey, of Hawley, MN; and Londa (Byron) Fossum, of Watford City, ND; two sons, Kevin Malvick, of Audubon, MN; and Keith (Amanda) Malvick, of Detroit Lakes, MN; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Kayla, Kyle, Samantha, Tabatha, Jacob, Riley, and Ethan; one sister, Gloria (Gary) Larson, of Bozeman, MT; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandson, Elijah.
