Dennis B. Zick

Dennis Bruce Zick was born January 8, 1962 in Detroit Lakes, the son of George and Annette (Lien) Zick. He passed away February 27, 2018 at Essentia- St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran, Shell Lake and grew up in the Osage area. Dennis graduated from Frazee high school where he participated in football, wrestling, and baseball. He continued his education at Bemidji State University before returning to Detroit Lakes to work for the city as an electrical line man. Dennis enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and all outdoor activities. He played volleyball and softball participating on State Championship teams in slow pitch and fast pitch. He is survived by his parents: George and Annette Zick of Osage; brother: Gene and Constance of Rochert; nephews and a niece: Dakota (Fiancé Annya Lewis) and their children Carter and Dean, Cheyanne Zick, Cole Zick, Hunter Zick; uncles: James (Claire) Zick of Detroit Lakes; David (Ann) Zick of Osage; Darlene (Sid) Steinkraus of Staples; Donald (Arlene) Lien of Fargo; Richard (Barbara) Lien of Thief River Falls; John (Joann) Lien of Rochert; and other extended family and friends. Dennis is preceded by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his brother John Zick.
