Diana Burson

Feb 10, 1963 — Aug 24, 2026

Diana Perales Burson was born on February 10, 1963, in Lubbock, Texas, to Tomas Luna Perales and Juanita Gonzales Perales. She was raised in Mineral Wells, Texas, and later traveled north, where she would spend the remainder of her years.

Diana was the proud mother of three wonderful children, Jessica Tuggle, Jesse James Bommersbach, and Tomas Anthony Bommersbach. As the years passed, her family grew to include their spouses, Mark, Serena, and Yolanda, who each loved Diana very much and held a special place in her life. Her family continued to grow, blessing her with one of the greatest joys of her life—her grandchildren: Jordan, Hailee, Michael, Aurelia, Braven, Tomilyn, Brianna, Olivia, Eva, Roman, and Colton.

To Diana, family was everything.

She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and godmother. She loved deeply, lived freely, and treasured the moments spent surrounded by the people she loved most.

Diana was truly a free spirit. She was spontaneous, fun-loving, and always ready to enjoy whatever the day might bring. Some of her happiest moments were spent surrounded by family and friends, listening to her favorite music, sharing good food, laughing, celebrating life, and enjoying a cold drink.

She had a style all her own. Diana could look beautiful in anything, but anyone who knew her knew how much she loved the color turquoise—and, of course, her boots. They were simply part of who she was.

Diana is survived by her children, Jessica and her husband Mark, Jesse and his wife Serena, and Tomas and his wife Yolanda; her beloved grandchildren; and her siblings, Olivia Garcia, Tom Perales Jr., Hope Perales, Jerry Perales, Maryann Randalls, Jesse Perales, Nancy Perales, Judy Davila, and Tammy Gray. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, her godson, extended family, and many friends who loved her dearly.

On the night of August 24, 2026, Diana passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. As those who loved her said goodbye here on earth, she was welcomed home into the loving arms of her father, mother, and sister, Martha Perales.

Diana leaves behind far more than memories. She leaves behind a family who carries pieces of her with them every day—a song that brings back her smile, a favorite meal, the sight of turquoise, a pair of boots, a story that still makes everyone laugh, and countless moments that will forever remind them of her.

Her life was a life worth celebrating.

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” — Psalm 23:6 (KJV)
