Donald "Sonny" Duane Brahmer

Donald “Sonny” Brahmer passed away on April 25, 2023 at his home.
Sonny was born on May 27th, 1932 in Detroit Lakes, MN to the late Rudolph Brahmer and Anna Johnson. He spent his life in Detroit Lakes. He enlisted in the Army to serve his country in 1950.
Sonny’s love and caring for people was felt by everyone he met. His never-ending support and guidance will forever be remembered.

Sonny’s favorite past times include rummage sale bargains, flea market treasures, gardening, and of course any reason to be outside in the sun.  Many knew Sonny from his lifelong work in produce from his beginnings at The Produce Shack to Evans Supermarket turning into Central Market and then Walmart until 81 years of age.
