Everett Arlo Anderson

Everett A. Anderson age 71 of Detroit Lakes, Mn died June 13, 2025, at Sanford Health – Broadway in Fargo, ND.

Everett Arlo Anderson was born April 21, 1954, in Moorhead, MN to Arvid and Clarice (Nelson) Anderson. His family farmed near Hawley, MN and Everett attended grade school in Hawley. In 1965 they moved to Detroit Lakes where he finished his education, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1973. He then attended the Detroit Lakes Vo Tech where he studied Auto Mechanics. He worked for Western Products, installing siding, before starting his career in the flooring business. He worked for Peter’s Carpet in Detroit Lakes, before owning and operating a flooring business with his partner Duane Wirth. In 1982 he was united in marriage to Val Hersch. He later retired and worked part time for TJ’s Tile in Detroit Lakes. He was united in marriage to Pamela Halvorson in 2010.

Everett and Pam enjoyed lake life, camping, 4 wheeling, and their dog “Daisy.” They especially enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother, Clarice Anderson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; two brothers, Ernie Anderson, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and Curt (Jane) Anderson, of Frazee, MN; two step daughters, Heather (Travis) Warner, of Douglas, WY; and Jennifer Olson, of Audubon, MN; grandchildren, Tatum, Bridger, and Harper; five nieces, Rebecca, Alisha, Lindsey, Brooke, and Elizabeth; one nephew, Benjamin; and several great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Pam, and his father, Arvid.

Memorial Services will be on Friday June 20, 2025; 2:00 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Hegland Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hawley, MN.
