Heather Anne Pihlaja

Heather Anne Pihlaja (Gibson), age 42, of Frazee, MN spread her angel wings on April 14th, 2022, after a courageous battle at Vibra Hospital of Fargo, ND. 

Heather will be lovingly remembered by her partner, Jeremy Pihlaja and her three cherished children, Brianna Gibson, Jasper Pihlaja and Jaden Pihlaja. 

Heather was born on June 19th, 1979, in Virginia, MN to James “Jim” and Susanna “Sue” Gibson. Heather was the youngest and leaves behind 4 siblings, Thomas Gibson, Richard (Jodie) Gibson, Deb Dorman and Jesse (Tiffany) Gibson. She started her life right off as a beautiful, unique and adventurous child with a kind heart. She was always playing in the woods or in nature and would bring home several injured animals to mend back to health. 

Heather forever had a positive outlook on life. She had a great sense of humor that she shared with her dad, who nicknamed her “Fuddy.” They were always joking around and playing pranks on others.

Heather was a creative artist and started drawing at 3 years old. Her artistic talent lived through everything she touched, her fashion, her home and her work. She had many passions including painting, beadwork, quilting, gardening and spending time outdoors.

She was an incredibly hard worker and successful business owner of a painting and cleaning business. She had many talents and was able to work her magic to make any space appealing. 

Heather will forever be missed. She had a heart of gold and loved unconditionally. Everyone that was fortunate enough to know her knows that she truly had a light surrounding her soul. 

Heather is preceded in death by her parents, James “Jim” and Susanna “Sue” Gibson.
