Jacqueline J. Hopman

Jacqueline J. Hopman age 82 of Detroit Lakes, MN died November 8, 2017 at Ecumen – Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Jacqueline Joan Hopman was born August 4, 1935 in Michigan, ND to Ole and Evelyn (Johnson) Dahl. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Michigan High School. She then moved with her sister Jean to Grand Forks, ND, where they worked at the ASC office. She was united in marriage to Patrick Hopman. Over the years they made their home in Fargo, Grand Forks, and Bismarck, ND and Burnsville, MN. While living in Burnsville she worked for Widman’s Candy. In 2003 she moved to Detroit Lakes and has been a resident of Emmanuel Nursing Home since July of 2017. Jackie loved baking chocolate chip cookies for everyone. She also enjoyed snowmobile trips with her family. She always took great pride in keeping up her home. She is survived by one son, Kurt Hopman, of Burnsville, MN; one grandson, Andrew Hopman, of Burnsville, MN; two brothers in law; Dennis Hopman, of Detroit Lakes, MN; and Albert Binfet, of Elgin, ND; one sister in law, Millie Dahl, of Thief River Falls, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick (1998); two brothers, James Dahl and Dennis Dahl; two sisters, Jean Hopman and Shirley Binfet; and her parents.
