Jean Helen Poehler

Jean was vivacious, irreverent and charming. She lived life to the fullest, every day was a new adventure. The 3rd of 10 children, she attended grade and high school in Hastings, MN. She was a graduate of St Scholastica University, the first female in her family to go to college. Jean married Jon in 1966, and the couple moved to Detroit Lakes in 1970. There they raised 2 children, and Jean owned a successful small business. After retirement, Jean and Jon split their time between Detroit Lakes and Port Isabel, TX. Jean’s passions were gardening, quilting, bowling, playing cards and golf. Jean is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jon, her children, Jimbo (Kyung Sook) & Joette, and her three grandchildren and two grand kitties.
