Jeffery James Klobuchar

Jeffery J. Klobuchar age 67 of Audubon, MN died July 18, 2026 at HIA Heather’s House in Fargo, ND.

Jeffery James Klobuchar was born August 8, 1958 in Detroit Lakes, MN to James and LaVaun (Schons) Klobuchar. He grew up and attended school in Detroit Lakes. In 1982 he was united in marriage to Robyn Vornholt in Pelican Rapids, MN. They made their home in Fargo, ND and had their daughter, Noel. Jeff attended the Moorhead Vocational and Technical College, where he received his HVAC Certification. Following that he worked for Sears. In 1992 he moved back to the Detroit Lakes area and started working for D&D Appliance. In 2003 he met his life partner, Linda Sommerville. They enjoyed the next twenty three years together. After many years at D&D Appliance Jeff retired in 2024.

Jeff enjoyed being around home. He enjoyed meticulously caring for his property and tinkering in his shop. He was known to be able to fix anything. He also enjoyed woodworking, motorcycling, and his dogs. Spending time with his grandsons was very special to him. His friends were also very important and he made sure to keep in touch with them, including many from his high school days.

He is survived by one daughter, Noel (Alex) Lewis, of Detroit Lakes, MN; two grandsons, Duke and Bode Lewis; one brother, Craig Klobuchar; four sisters, Shelly Breitenfeldt, Sherry (Rob) Kneifl, Mona (Chad Balfe) Gjerde, and Terrie (Floyd) Johnson; several nieces and nephews, and Life Partner, Linda Sommerville, of Audubon, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Wayne Gjerde.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday July 29, 2026; 2:00 p.m. at the West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
