John Zick

John Zick age 52 of Osage, MN died February 22, 2018 at his residence. John Myron Lee Zick was born February 8, 1966 in Detroit Lakes, MN to George and Annette (Lien) Zick. He attended school in Frazee, MN, graduating from Frazee High School in 1984. He then attended North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND for two years, and later the Detroit Lakes Vocational and Technical College. Over the years he worked for Swift’s, SJ Electro, and Friesen’s in Detroit Lakes. He also hauled potatoes for RDO of Park Rapids, MN. On August 22, 1998 he was united in marriage to Heidi Clements in Snellman, MN. John loved hunting, camping, cutting wood, sitting by a campfire, and time spent with his sons. He is survived by his wife, Heidi; two sons, Cole Zick, of Pensacola, FL; and Hunter Zick, of Osage, MN; parents, George and Annette Zick, of Osage, MN; two brothers, Gene (Constance) Zick, of Rochert, MN; and Dennis Zick, of Osage, MN; several nieces and nephews; and two great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Memorial Services will be on Saturday March 3, 2018; 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church- Shell Lake, in rural Osage, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Church cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, MN.
