Joni Marie Johnson

Joni Marie Johnson, Lifelong resident of Detroit Lakes died May 26th, 2026. She was born to Lyle M Johnson and Mary Ann (Wolden) Johnson 1958 in Detroit Lakes, MN. She graduated in 1976, she worked at the D.A.C for over 45 years. She truly loved her job and was still working part time.

She is survived by her pets Wendall and Charlette, four brothers, Terry of Artesia, New Mexico, Dean and Sherlyn from Detroit Lakes, MN, Greg from Artesia, New Mexico, nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was proceeded in death by her partner, Steve, her parents, both sets of grandparents and extended family.

A celebration of Life will be held for Joni on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 1-4 pm at the Detroit Lakes VFW Post #1676 - 500 Washington Ave.
