Leroy Vincent Frost Jr was born November 28, 1943 to Leroy Vincent Frost (Lee) and Geraldine (Tiny) Frost in Fargo, North Dakota. Leroy attended Holy Spirit Catholic School and later graduated from Shanley High School in Fargo, North Dakota. Following high school, he attended NDSU to pursue a degree in Zoology but decided the car business was his calling. Eventually Vince moved from direct sales to the after market insurance and warranty business with World Service Life and to American Financial.
In 1979 Vince bought his cabin on Lake Melissa by Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Vince’s cabin was his favorite place to be after working on the road all week. His life on Lake Melissa brought him countless friends from the golf course, Hotel Shoreham and WeFest. He worked at WeFest as the VIP Manager for many years, which became his favorite two weeks of the summer. He was a WeFest Legend.
Vince annually participated in the Pizza Masters golf tournament with many 2nd place titles, but 1st place eluded him. Golf was a passion he shared with his children and grandsons throughout his life.
Vince was an avid hunter. He owned a home (the flyaway) in Krammer, North Dakota where he spent September thru November hunting cranes, geese, ducks, and deer. His home in Krammer was always filled with friends and family and fellow hunters who were guided by him on the HUNT. He became an important member of the Krammer community always supporting the annual town fundraiser at the Cork and Bottle.
Vince retired on Lake Melissa and lived there till his death.
Vince was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Tiny Frost, his sister Penny Zeigz and brother Wilfred (Willy) Frost, his nephew Greg Zarson which he adored and shared his passion of hunting, and his great nieve Ashley Marie Theriault.
Vince is survived by his brother Dominic Frost, sister-in-law Mary Frost, his daughters Holly (Jay) Johnson, Anne (Dave) Frost, Heidi (Pete) Leeson, Penny (Todd) Alter and his son Vincent (Anita) Frost, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
