Loraine M. Moe age 90 of Detroit Lakes, MN died December 9, 2020 at Essentia health – Oak Crossing in Detroit Lakes, MN. Loraine Mae Moe was born January 2, 1930 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Elmer and Petrina (Gunderson) Crane. She grew up and received her education in Detroit Lakes, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School in 1947. On September 9, 1950 she was united in marriage to Gordon Moe in Detroit Lakes, MN. They made their home and raised their family in Detroit Lakes. Loraine worked as a bookkeeper for the City of Detroit Lakes, retiring from there after many years of service. She enjoyed flower gardening, traveling, shopping, and attending WE Fest. She was also very active at Zion Lutheran Church. Time spent with family was very important to her. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. She is survived by one daughter, Linda (Tim) Truman, of Long Prairie, MN; one son, Jeff Moe, of Detroit Lakes, MN; three grandchildren, Stephany (Dan) Vassar, of Shorewood, MN; Chad (Shelley) Truman, of Delano, MN; and Cari (Brad) Slivanich, of Waite Park, MN; seven great grandchildren, Natalie, Molly, Stacy, Gavyn, Evan, Ian, and Layne; and one brother, Harry (Patricia) Crane, of Eagan, MN; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; one son, Steven Moe; and her parents. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday December 16, 2020; 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, MN. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes, MN.
