Louise Anne Marie Wyborny passed away on July 27, 2024, at age 87, in Sherwood Oregon where she spent her last 3 years living in an assisted living & memory care facility near family.
Louise was born on July 21, 1937, in Perham Minnesota, to Barney and Florence Brenk of Frazee Minnesota. She grew up in Frazee and graduated from High School there in 1955. She was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frazee. On November 26, 1960 she was also married at Sacred Heart to Sylvester "Bud" Wyborny, a civil engineer with the state of Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Louise and Bud started their married life together in St. Paul Minnesota, but soon after in 1965 moved to Detroit Lakes Minnesota, where they raised their family, and had a lot of family and friends nearby. Bud was a good husband and companion for 37 years until he passed away too soon from prostate cancer at age 67.
Louise was always a caregiver and worked as a nurse part time once her children were in school. She eventually went back to school when the kids were grown, achieving a BSN (Bachelor of Science Nursing) degree and working as assistant director at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, until she retired in the mid 1990's.
Bud and Louise loved the outdoors and nature and loved road trips with family and friends. They had a cabin at Lake 7 near Vergas Minnesota, where they greatly enjoyed lake life every summer with family and friends. She also very much enjoyed spending time at the more rustic property in the woods on Rose Lake, for nature trail walks, the annual raking of the leaves (too many!) and making maple syrup.
In her later years after Bud passed away, Louise had a special friend “Don” … a very sweet soul and a wonderful companion to her. Her other constant companion in those years was her dog, the little Pug named “Otis”.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents Barney and Florence Brenk, her four brothers Bernard (“Bee”), Jack, Paul, and Mylan Brenk, and their spouses Betty, Edna, Marion, and Mary-Ann, her husband Bud, her dear friend Don, her sister-in-law Isabel and brother-in-law Jim, and a number of other close friends.
Louise is survived by her 2 children, Coleen and Paul, 4 grandchildren, Adam, Allison, Shane, and Garrett, and 3 great-grandchildren.
