Michelle Anne Olson

Michelle Olson of Detroit Lakes, MN passed away at Oak Crossing Wednesday, July 14, 2021. She was born in White Earth, MN on December 28, 1953 to Lewis and Merle Fairbanks. She graduated from Waubun High School class of 1972. She and Bruce Olson were United in marriage on November 12, 1977. They had their daughter, Kelly in May of 1978. She was employed at Swift Eckrich for 20 years and then retired from the Shooting Star Casino after 26 years as a Benefits Administrator. 

She is survived by her husband Bruce of 43 years and daughter Kelly Olson of Jamestown, ND. Sisters Dawn (Paul) Larson of Callaway, MN, Sheree Keprios, and Dana (Randy) Johnson of Hibbing, MN. Brothers Craig (Pam) Fairbanks of Waubun,MN, Clay (Toni) Fairbanks of Ogema, MN, Les (Linda) Fairbanks Mahnomen, MN. Sister-in-law Doreen Tollefson, Detroit Lakes, MN, Brother-in-law Larry Olson, St.Louis, MO, Russell (Bonnie) Olson, Dilworth, MN, Joy Gilbert, Sister-in-law Grand Junction, CO.  She had 26 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis Fairbanks and Merle Fairbanks, brother Kim Fairbanks, sister Denise Vargason, brother-in-law Steven Keprios, nephew Seth Larson, Father and mother-in-law Henry and Margie Olson, brother-in-law Chris Olson and brother-in-law Walter Tollefson.
