While there she was also a Brownie and Girl Scout leader while being involved in her church missions. Moving to Fergus Falls Minnesota in 1974 Nancy enjoyed working alongside her husband making maple syrup at their Sugar Bush near Ottertail Lake, gourmet club with friends and welcoming people in newcomers club. Nancy moved to Carterville Illinois in 1984 where she retired from teaching in 2002, traveled throughout Europe, Ireland, and enjoyed gardening, she volunteered for Meals on Wheels, taught English, and repaired houses in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Her hobbies were golfing, volunteering, crafts, skiing, sewing and reading. Nancy made many friends along the way with whom she kept in touch throughout the years.
