Nicole Antonia Piechowski

Nicole Antonia “Nikki” Piechowski, 52, of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at Essentia Health - Oak Crossing.

Nikki was born in Greeley, Colorado, on November 1, 1972, and spent most of her life in Detroit Lakes, where she built lasting friendships and a warm, welcoming home. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, kind heart, and deep love for the simple pleasures in life. Nikki found happiness in gardening, walks on the beach, taking vacations, camping and fishing trips, listening to music, sharing laughter and good times with her brother, Anthony, along with many other friends who cherished her.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, David and Jane Piechowski. Nikki is survived by her brother and best friend, Anthony Piechowski, and her three beloved cats, who brought her daily comfort and companionship.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Nikki’s life and the joy she brought to those who knew her.

Nikki’s warmth, humor and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
