Richard "Ricky" Lee Larson

Richard “Rick” Lee Larson, 65 of Detroit Lakes, MN passed away on December 18, 2021. Richard was born on March 9, 1956 in St. Paul, MN to Richard & Shirley Larson. In 1998 Richard married Laura Buckles and to this marriage they had one daughter Avalyn. They later divorced in 2002.

Rick had many careers such as Northern Glass, Zorbaz, Dogsledding, and the White Earth biology department. Rick had a heart of gold and was a free spirit who loved to travel, dogsled, and would do pipe ceremonies. He was a very loving son, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He lived a simple life and enjoyed giving to others and spending as much time as he could with family and friends.

Richard is survived by his daughter Avalyn (Damon Sadler) Larson, grandson Colten Sadler of Wolf Point, MT. Parents Shirley & Richard Larson, siblings Debbie (Glenn) Disse, Betty Disse, Dennis Larson, Paul (Patty) Larson, Jill (Mark Blacknik) Larson, Sherri (Rob) Kneifl and more family and friends then he could count.

He is preceded in death by Grandparents: Helen Askelson, Chris & Lizzie Larson, Uncle Darrell Vizenor, many aunts, uncles, friends and his best dog, Montana.
