Robert M Libby

Robert (Bob) M. Libby, Sr., 79 of White Earth, MN passed away on January 21, 2022, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN.  Bob was born on November 21, 1942, to Herbert (Ike) and Thelma (Thompson) Libby in White Earth, MN.  Bob and Sharon (Peterson) were married on January 6, 1962, and had four children Collette, Robyn, Stacie and Bob Jr.  Bob grew up in the country and went to school through the eighth grade.  After he and Sharon were married, they moved to Minneapolis where he attended carpenter school.  Bob was an incredibly skilled carpenter building houses, medical centers, government buildings and gas stations.  Through the years Bob enjoyed dirt track racing, Nascar, traveling the western states, golfing and especially spending time with his family and friends. 

Bob is survived by his wife, Sharon; children Collette, Robyn (Greg Enstad), Stacie and Bob, Jr; grandchildren Mike (Rhonda) Klein, Ashley (Cody) Matthys-Bradfish, Aaron (Taylor) Libby, Jon Matthys, Brittney (Cody) Horbacz, Benjamin Libby, Jake Greg; and great grandchildren Keaton Libby, Xander Libby, Everly Horbacz.  Siblings Gene, Jim (Bev), Billy, Mary Sue (Zeb), Jerry, Tom (Jean), Sherlene Williams (sister-in-law) and Larry (Dorothy) Peterson (brother-in-law) and a great many nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Thelma, siblings: Richard, Gloria, Carol, Lola, Phyllis, Janice and George, brother-in-law Wendell (Marilyn) Peterson; and recently his son-in-law Daniel (Boone) Lehnen.
