Ronald Bjorklund

Ronald Joe Bjorklund was born July 23, 1952 in Fargo, North Dakota, the son of Harry and Ida (Roes) Bjorklund. He passed away August 17, 2018 at Essentia – St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes. In 1963 his family moved to Detroit lakes form Moorhead and Ron graduated from Detroit Lakes high school in 1970.  He continued his education at Moorhead Sate before beginning his career in construction with his father. On June 6, 1971 he was united in marriage to Vicki Larsen at Zion Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes. To this union two children were born. They made their home in Detroit Lakes as he continued his career in construction working for Mortensen Construction. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, gardening and especially spending time with his family. Ron is survived by his wife: Vicki Bjorklund of Detroit Lakes; children: Ryan (Susan) Bjorklund of Detroit Lakes; Tricia Bjorklund of Detroit Lakes; grandchildren: Ethan Jordan, Katelyn Bjorklund, Emily Bjorklund; mother: Ida Bjorklund of Pelican Rapids; sisters: Linda (Jim) Lambertz of Brookings, SD; Jenn (Jerome) Beckmann of Loveland, CO; brother: Robert Bjorklund of Pelican rapids; He was preceded in death by his father: Harry Bjorklund.
