Sigrid Ellen Lindsay

Sigrid E. Lindsay age, 98, died early December 7, 2023, at Ecumen – Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, MN, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Sigrid was born on October 13, 1925, in rural Ogema to Iver and Anne (Aho) Lusty. She grew up and attended country schools near her home.

Sigrid married Donald D. Lindsay on December 4, 1946. The union resulted in the birth of five boys. Sigrid’s life was full being a wife and mother. She soon filled the role of grandma, great grandma and great-great grandma, providing love and attention to all, and lots of fun learning to play “Kings around the Corners.” Sixty-two years of marriage was filled with making a home on the farm for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, four sisters and two brothers.

Sigrid is survived by her sons; Jimmy (Ermina) of Ogema, MN, William (Joan) of Richwood, MN, Scott (Ruth) of Long Prairie, MN; daughter in-law Patricia Lindsay of Washington, one sister Sadie of Mankato, MN., and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews.
